Deficiency of vitamin B12 causes anemia and neurological damage. Lack of this nutrient can result in instability, severe depression, hearing loss and memory loss.

Deficiency also causes moodiness, numbness or tingling in the hands or feet, dizziness, digestive problems, headaches, eye disorders, dementia, diarrhea, shortness of breath, impotence, insomnia, constipation, drowsiness, palpitations, enlargement of the liver, skin discoloration and inflammation of the tongue.

B-12 is a key factor in the body’s use of iron and formation of red blood cells.

B-12 is essential component for the creation and maintenance of the myelin sheath that lines nerve cells.

In conjunction with pyridoxine (vitamin B6 and folic acid), B-12 reduces harmful homocysteine levels (high homocysteine levels are a huge risk factor for cardiovascular disease).

The elderly or chronically ill people are at risk because they develop trouble with absorbing this vitamin in its natural form.

B-12 injections are the Gold Standard as far as I am concerned, but few people want to have these shots two times a month.

The patch has been proven to be effective in as little as 12 hours and helps in avoiding problems that lacking this important nutrient can cause. The vitamin delivered from the patch is less expensive and fast acting than an injection.

The patch has been found safe, efficient and inexpensive.

The technical name for B-12 is cobalamin.

There are four types of cobalamin.

  • Cyanocobalamin is synonymous with cobalamin, and is the form found most often in oral supplements.

  • Cyanocobalamin is the least effective form of B-12.

IT CAN ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE TO b-12 DEFICIENCEY! THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS I RECOMMEND NOT TAKING PILL FORM B-12.

  • Hydrocobalamin is the natural form of B-12 found in foods.

  • Methylcobalamin is the form of B-12 used in injections.

The best vitamin B-12 patch I have found is Healthy Habits B-12 Patch uses methylcobalamin just like injections do to ensure high bio-availability and effectiveness. There are many others, but you want methylcobalamin !
