Saturday, July 2nd, I drive to Sherbrooke to participate in an exploratory research project using the explosive force to improve physical balance for those who received angioplasty with a duration of about five weeks. I do not know what to expect but an offer like that there was an offer that one cannot refuse, an unprecedented chance to regain strength (I have over 20 years of Multiple Sclerosis) and maybe who knows walk around for 7 years, I need assistance.

Oh yes, I had the angio more than a year ago, I found an incredible quality of life, no more chronic fatigue, brainfog, not a single migraine since, bladder problems, no more arthritis, I started to write. and more !

But my legs, the strength has not returned so we had to find a way to work that remained of muscles.

I went in June to physically evaluate me, the team of Rene Mckay, the executive director of the association of multiple sclerosis but also in Estrie is a specialist and researcher in exercise physiology.

It basically tells me what it is and it warns me it will be challenging, I  due to attend two sessions per day, 4-5 times a week for 5 weeks.

Surprise, first 3 days, managed to take me take a few steps ... what? Day 3?? "But it's been 7 years since I did not do that! " Wow", I know that I am definitely at the right place, especially with the right people. I had never done this kind of exercise before. Finally, I take care of me, we seek a solution to help me regain my mobility ... no one before had helped me and even though no one seemed interested.

I then quickly realized that some people had forgotten their mandate to find solutions to make us mobile as long as possible with all that comes with MS, or give us a chance with all the necessary tools to exercise and so on.

Every day I became stronger, more agile, but I see that multiple Sclerosis has made its way through my body because I did not exercise, I said I was told ‘that is dead is dead’ ‘then this will not work to tire you out for nothing. I am so sorry to have heard these lies! I did not realize that my feet were so defeated, I had problems in the shoulders, back, hips, etc., a harsh reality but with great effort should be put as much as possible I am told or at least there will be improvement! No false promises.

I have over 50 years and over time to waste a chance that there are people here in Sherbrooke will do everything to give me back hope, a word that had no meaning for me!

Here we take care of my case and sought the best solution for 5 weeks to find a way to solve some problems due to the Multiple Sclerosis that could have been less knowing what I know today. The fact that exercise makes all the difference! But it is still necessary to make the right exercises!

In short, I'm back for me and my family for a few days and I decided to move to this city where everything is possible as I started to walk, yes. I went back (to the astonishment of all my family), for the moment I walk like a little robot, but it will come, the best is yet to come for that which was dead has risen, which was impossible has become possible in Sherbrooke, a city of happiness!

I warmly thank the team of Rene McKay Managing Director (ASEP) and the Maxi-Club de Sherbrooke!
