(my friend Tami asked me to share this with everyone)

Had an MRI last night and even better, a GREAT conversation with the MRI technician.  Have not got one on record and even though I was dx'd ion 1995, there is no 'proof' I have MS.  Neuro decided he should do something about that.  I was apprehensive and said so.  Said last time it was dark and noisy and I felt like the Chilean miners must have felt.  He assured me it would be fine.  Took me in to see the machine.  Said here it is... have a look.  Not so bad.  My response..... Really?  Are you coming in with me?  His response..... No I dont think so.  I would have to be in a very uncompromising position to join you and your husband might object.  We hit it off immediately!

This technician mentioned the Liberation procedure.  Said doctors are telling him Zamboni's results are inaccurate.  Corrected him saying they are accurate, that others tried to replicate results using different protocols.  Cant get the same result if using a different recipe.  I said many published papers have been written since and lots of symposiums, conferences and meetings the world over, most notably BRAVEDREAMS in Italy and ECTRIMS in Amsterdam.

He asked if I knew about it then as I sounded fairly familiar with it........ need I say more?    Do bears shit in the forest???? The floodgates were opened!

I told him I was one of the early ones, one of the pioneers. Treated overseas 15 months ago.  Got his attention right away.  Full of questions he was.  A rapid fire session, but HE WAS GENUINELY INTERESTED.  We spoke in depth for a very long time, so long that hubby thought I died, I am sure.  This 15 minute MRI was taking over an hour.

This technician deals with MS patients often, and works with neurologists all the time.  It was such a great opportunity to set the record straight..... if only with one person.  But it all starts with one.  I learned from this encounter that there is so much misinformation being circulated and treated as fact.  I could not possibly explain away everything but I did point him in the right direction to learn more about it and so we can only hope.  He said he could not understand how this breakthrough has not been taken more seriously. I just looked at him and said, this MS thing is BIG BUSINESS.  There is a LOT of money at stake.  MS has been coined an auto immune dis ease (love that word... dis ease) for 60 years and despite the fact it has never been proven, it fits with everyone concerned and lines the pockets quite nicely thank you.  Why rock the boat?  Only the altruistic dare.

Parted having shared new insights with a new friend.  Impressed even myself with the knowledge I had stored and presented.  I guess it is so ingrained by now that I dont even know what I know until put to the test.  There is hope guys.  We just have to stick with it.
