Magnetic Resonance Innovations, Inc. develops trendsetting medical imaging technology including Magnetic Resonance (MR) sequence design, software development for clinical, research, and pharmaceutical industries. Our patented software and services help our clients to enhance and accelerate the diagnostics of diseases and the clinical trials of new products on a world wide basis. The strategic objective of Magnetic Resonance Innovations, Inc. is to become a global market leader in international medical technology in the next 5 years

Our group has developed a number of exciting and important applications in magnetic resonance imaging. We are interested in the basic aspects and clinical applications of MRI. This includes sequence design, image reconstruction, image processing and clinical applications.
Among the areas that we have pioneered are:

    - MR Angiography (MRA)

    - Fast imaging

    - New Construction Methods

    - Susceptibility Weighted Imaging

    - Coronary Artery Imaging

Neuro-imaging: Our focus here has been on neuro-vascular related diseases. Our research includes the evaluation of the cerebral vasculature, vessel tracking, perfusion imaging, and susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) to look for irregularities in the venous vasculature and for increases in brain iron content. Our research has applications to: stroke, trauma, occult vascular disease and the study of angiogenesis in tumors.

Cardiovascular imaging: Our past research has been on creating 3D coronary artery imaging technology for MRI. Our future interest is to apply the SWI imaging methods to evaluate the viability of the myocardium.

We have trained more than 50 graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, staff, visiting researchers and faculty over the last 20 years.
