I had vein bypass surgery on both jugular veins yesterday. A 5 hour operation. Dr Hernadaz said my veins were like wood-concrete. Nothing could get through them, plus they were no longer patent. I had a team of 6 doctor looking after me. A GP. neurologist (who believes in CCSVI), an opthalmologist who check my occular pressure and more, internist-cardiologist, an interventional cardiolgist and a cardiothorassic surgeon. This surgeon has done many vein bypasses but not for MS. I was the first. I had blood tests, chest X ray, ultrasound, CT scan and a venogram. They are documenting everthing with before and after tests. I cannot say enough good things about the doctors and nurses and would not hesitate to recomend them if you have had 2 angioplasties and restonsed or a vein is now occluded with scarring. I am in a wheelchair and very disabled. I have noticed some small improvements such as a return of core strength, less spasticity plus more. Not big gains but definetly gains and hopefully more to come.
