Stem cell update 3 plus 15 March 2012

For those just joining us, I was dx RRMS 1997, now SPMS. I had CCSVI venoplasty 3x July 2010 great benefit but it only lasted a week or two, Aug 2010 great benefit for 6 months but then symptoms returned, March 2011 no benefit, veins still open despite symptoms. Yikes. Continuing progression despite many supplements and diets and protocols—though never MS drugs. I went from a cane to a wheelchair outside the house and holding onto the walls and furniture within. I took a chance on stem cells. I had stem cell treatment 6 December 2011 in Mexico www.dromargonzales.com There was immediate benefit (for specifics see my last few blogs and the youtube before and after video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeRBE69CcKg ).

OK so I added dairy back in and it's fine. Whey protein, colostrum, etc. No reaction.

I think the reaction I was having (tingling extremities) was from niacin. It's B3 and your cells need it. It's also a vasodilator. But in the form of niacin it causes a flush, redness, heat and itching. As niacinamide it doesn't flush, but it still does something. I was taking 450 mg. Now I'm taking 100 mg niacin and just putting up with the flush.

I am exercising now twice a day. Once at 11 am, 17 minutes on the stationary bike with other exercises, and then 12 minutes at 4 pm. This is up from 5 minutes when I started. I am stronger than I used to be on some leg exercises. I think it might be time to add in some more for strengthening arms, for my weak arm. But my hand is a little stronger now too. My legs don't kill me all the time now. That took about 10 days.

I haven't experienced the spontaneous improvement in walking again since the first week it happened. But it gives me hope.

One weird development is that at night my right shoulder and now my left too are getting very cold and then sore. So I tried a heating pad on them and it really worked, if I keep them warm they don't get painful. In fact during the day after I've kept them heated at night, my right shoulder is less uncomfortable. Here I've been taking joint supplements and it was heat that helped. I have also been using Thermacare heat wraps on them at night. I will also try the cheaper Walgreens brand too.**using Walgreens brand now.My right lower leg and foot still get pretty cold, but not as bad now the weather is warming up.

I had a chiropractic adjustment this week, and it made all the difference in my gait. Better walking, better balance.   I felt like I could walk easily again.  I was so happy!

The night after the adjustment I was so excited, I kept thinking about how much better I was and what it would be like. I woke up in the middle of the night and could 't sleep again for hours, I felt so excited. The next day I woke up with only some benefits, and they faded throughout the day. By bedtime I was really hurting. It was like the last 2 ½ years in microcosm. I was so heartbroken I cried.  All in all it's a good sign, but it was hard to see it go (again).

That was yesterday. I am taking it easy today. I had to post.
