For people to understand a little better, the more angioplasty's & therapeutic procedures done to the internal jugulars............the more scar tissue is built up and as we are seeing this today many CCSVI patients suffering with occlusions due to multiple angioplasty's and/or stents. Many having been told there is nothing that can be done.

With this in mind, now there are many people who are in need of a surgical intervention to fix the mess which their internal jugulars are now in.

*Remember this doesn't allow the surgeon to work with as much when there is a tremendous amount of scar tissue and some patients with NO lumen at all and needs the surgeon to create a completely new conduit for blood flow.

Please do your homework and when it's the 2nd or the 9th time you are being told angioplasty is needed.

Also, be FULLY aware it will NOT last near as long as the FIRST treatment due to the reasons just mentioned.

By having a permanent fix (surgery) for these patients whom suffer from CCSVI..........At Excel Hospital being a Cardiovascular Specialty Institute, feel that patients are better off in the long run for them to have surgical intervention in their beginning stages VS after multiple angioplasty's and/or stents put into their internal jugulars which in time will need surgery. (The Baylis catheter is also just a temp fix to the solution)

The surgical option has presented itself clearly in patients having gone through so many therapeutic procedures and what they are like today.

Note: every patient is different in there disease process as well as their anatomy.

This is information that many people DO NOT realize as most CCSVI patients do NOT want to talk about how bad they are now and some even worse then before their first angioplasty.

*Note there are always going to be exceptions.  Also, everyone has an opinion simply stating ours for those who choose to listen.  We are not here to debate this is what the findings are showing.

Also, just an FYI Excel hospital will NOT work with any medical facilitators as they charge 20% on top of what a patient can pay the hospital directly.  We do this so patients don't have to over pay for medical services they need.  When looking for help contact the hospital directly.  BE smart & save your money.
