My Personal Thoughts By: Andrés Brakke CCSVI Treatment Coordinator Clinics of the Heart – Los Cabos & Cozumel Mexico www.multiplesclerosisccsvi.com info@cardioabroad.com The purpose of this blog is to ask any and all persons who suffer from multiple sclerosis who have had the “controversial” CCSVI (Chronic Cerebral Spinal Venous Insufficiency) angioplasty known as the “Liberation Procedure” five very simple questions:
- Has the procedure allowed you to enjoy a better quality of life?
- Has it slowed or stopped the progression of the disease?
- Has it done nothing for you?
- All things considered…do you feel the risk and the cost have proven to be worth it?
- When was the procedure performed?
I believe your honest answers will help other MS patients decide to have the procedure or not, regardless of where they might choose to have it performed, and although unlikely, they may also have an impact on your health care officials’ decision making process to deem the procedure as safe and effective and make the treatment available in your country. Please ask any MS patient who has had the procedure to share this simple information with the MS community, I believe the answers will prove to useful and interesting . Thank you.
