MS SUCKS!

MS is just so frustrating.  Any  progress  (CCSVI, Stem Cell) is met with a universe of opposition led by the ostrich with head in the ground a group:  MS specialists.  Any potential progress outside of Pharma is met with massive opposition because whatever the idea is untested, unsafe and unpublished.

At least mountains will break down to dust eventually by sheer forces of nature and time.

No cure (yet we pray), the drugs often harm more than help and we are an "Orphan" because we do not kill quickly or have a major spokesperson.

Richard Pryor would have been great, but he has passed away.

I get physical therapy twice a week at home.  I have actually shown improvement with my muscle tightness thanks to stretching and other activities.

My problem? The left side of my body is pretty okay.  Toes wiggle, leg moves for walking, fingers good.  The right side is a constant challenge.  Need a walker to move around the house because of foot drop.  Right toes do no wiggle much if at all.  Without walker, I must "cruise" like a toddler.

Innovation?

Wear a tennis shoe on the good foot.  Nothing on bad foot.  The idea gives an impression of being higher on one side than the other, but it works.

The bad leg swings freer without hip swing out.

I still need the walker, but this little innovation may help a few of us.

God Bless.

Power to the people.

Power to the cure.
