They are a team dedicated to CCSVI treatment and most of our patients are also affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
Dr Ciro Gargano is a licensed Interventional Radiologist in Italy and has performed more than 1000 CCSVI procedures.
The team is dedicated to discover if CCSVI is a possible cause of MS.
Dr Ciro Gargano has been the Chief Researcher of a Study approved by the Public Ethics Committee that investigated the EDSS (Expanded Disability Status Score) evaluation in Patients affected by Multiple Sclerosis and CCSVI treated with angiodilation.
Our procedures are performed in a private hospital "Casa di Cura Nostra Signora di Lourdes" in Naples with all facilities onsite (CT Scan, MRI, Radiology unit, Laboratory, Surgical Theaters) with a 24 hours medical and nursing staff.
To be clean they do not treat Multiple Sclerosis but we treat CCSVI: 70% of our patients improves and 30% do not get any response.
The clinic has never had any case of worsening due to the intervention.
The procedure is invasive but they have never had any major complication so far: protocol is very tight and they observe all our patients after the procedure overnight. A nurse and a doctor is always available 24/9.
An anesthesiologist is always present in the angiographic room even if we perform 99% of PTA with local anesthesia.
They do not use any stent because they are not safe yet.
The office has a full staff dedicated to CCSVI treatment and this includes 2 neurologist,
1 Psycologist, a biostatistic and other 2 radiologists (one of them trained in Ferrara with Prof. Zamboni).
The treatment we perform (already done +1000 in Italy and more than 100 video testimonials are available
on the youtube channel) is the PTA of both Jugular veins, azygos , vertebral al lumbars (of course if needed).
We have 2 ultrasound doppler Esaote Mylab Vinco (with dedicated software for CCSVI). DR Ciro
Gargano has attended the Master with Dr Zamboni (University of Ferrara), which is a postgraduate course
of 1 year duration, which has been done once so far and probably never done again. the final exam was
completed with laude.
