As I wrote in my essay on why the national MS charities do not act in the best interests of persons with MS (http://www.direct-ms.org/sites/default/files/WhyNMSSNotActingInTheBestInterestsofPersonswithMS.pdf), "It is imperative to appreciate that most (often all) of the scientific advisors of the societies and the societies themselves have strong financial ties to the pharmaceutical companies which manufacture and market the approved drug therapies for MS". People with MS represent a huge heard of cash cows that big pharma, MS neurologists and national MS societies will continue to exploit as long as the cash cows keeping doing what they are told (take the worthless drugs, give your money to MS charities).
