Christopher Alkenbrack sent his letter to Yves Savoie to Senator Jane Cordy. This is Senator Cordy's reply to Christopher and she has given us permission to post it. Senator Cordy copied Yves Savoie on this response. "Thank you Christopher for your insights into the material the MS society distributes in the name of unbiased research. They are free to publish whatever they wish but they certainly should not pretend that the work is not influenced by big pharma when the study has been funded by them. Someday I will tell you the story of trying to get an appointment with the MS society of BC because the Yukon falls under their jurisdiction and I wanted an update on their clinical trials which they are doing with Sask. after the first call they stopped taking my calls but when I had my assistant call using my calling card they answered. How does that sound about being open and responsive. They had no choice but to book an appointment because they had been caught but at the last minute they cancelled. I can imagine what patients are going through when they call for help."
