Veins in plaques of multiple sclerosis patients - a longitudinal magnetic resonance imaging study at 7 Tesla -- "Conclusion: Our data underpin a relation of veins and plaque development in MS and reflect increased apparent venous calibers due to increased venous diameters or increased oxygen consumption in early MS plaques." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25903703 Engorged veins in MS lesions, already identified by Eduard von Rindfleisch in 1863, only using a simple microscope & an open mind. 150 years later the med. establishment seems to catch up with his discovery because now they are able to play with a 7T MRI, which doesn't require the mindset of Rindfleisch anymore to see the evidence.
