Copper Metabolism, by Morley Robbins ---

"Please take 5 minutes to reflect on this excellent article on Copper co-authored by my Cupro-hero, Leslie M. Klevay, MD, PhD:
http://m.advances.nutrition.org/content/2/6/520.full.pdf

Now, here's the deal...
I'd like you to take 15 min to reflect on the following:
o The 2nd sentence states: "Copper deficiency is the leading deficiency worldwide among nutritional diseases of agricultural animals."
Hmmmmmmmm...
o That sentence should send a chill down your spine... as great sources of Copper are eggs, pork products, lamb, etc. Interesting that these were taken out of our diet 60 yrs ago... And yet we're told in article, after article, after article that the chance of Copper deficiency is RARE in humans... (*TILT!*)
o In the paragraph on "Deficiencies," please read it sloooooooowly as it explains HOW lack of bioavailable Copper is behind most, if not ALL, chronic diseases... ALL of those processes noted are the result of Cupro-enzymes NOT working for LACK of bioavailable Copper...
o "Adequate Copper intake permits normal utilization of dietary Iron in that intestinal iron absorption, iron release from stores (e.g. macrophages of liver and spleen), and iron incorporation into hemoglobin are COPPER-DEPENDENT [emphasis added!] process. Know anybody struggling with "Anemia?..." Hmmmmmm...
o "Inadequate Copper produces adverse effects on the metabolism of cholesterol and blood glucose, blood pressure control and heart function, mineralization of bones, and immunity." You mean high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, and osteoporosis ALL share the SAME mineral deficiency?....
And HOW does Copper become deficient, or more accurately said: "bioUNavailable" in the Human animal?...
Unresolved "Stressors!"
As you well know, chronic "Stress!" depletes Maggie, and the rise of "Stress!" Hormones (made entirely from Cholesterol mind you...) affect the production of Ceruloplasmin (Cp) in the Liver which is the KEY protein essential for making Copper bioavailable... High Cortisol = LOW Cp!
NOW, please ask your yourself the following questions:
o when was the last time your Mineral Denialist assessed your Mag RBC?...
or asked what the "Stress!" levels are in your life that might be depleting your Mg levels daily, not the least of which are the Rx meds that they have you taking...
o when was the last time your Mineral Denialist assessed your Copper/Cp status?... or let you know the FACTS of the importance of Copper to run the human metabolism as noted in this article...
If the answer is NEVER, you might want to re-read this article AGAIN, and think about a NEW approach to addressing your metabolic dysfunction(s) that are ENTIRELY CAUSED by mineral deficiencies...
They are NOT medical diseases... that is patently obvious from the research literature and it's high time you start acting on that scientific reality...
A votre sante!"
