Hello MS Friends interested in CCSVI. Thank you for being you and for being curious!
CCSVI is a brilliant newer theory about what causes MS. As author of the book about CCSVI published in 2011, I have been on the front lines, watching the drama unfold. Most interesting has been the efforts to suppress patient interest in this new idea, some people invested in the older autoimmune model
even calling for science on the CCSVI hypothesis to stop.
Thankfully, that has not happened. Earlier this year Bavera et al published an unblinded observational study of more than 300 patients treated for CCSVI with positive outcomes.

Later this year in 2016 we may see the outcomes of Brave Dreams; Dr Zamboni's ambitious trial evaluating the CCSVI model in over 500 people.
For people interested in CCSVI this promises to be a watershed year. We will soon have new information that will help us all understand where the science is leading. Happy New Year and may 2016 be a banner year for us all!
