Symptoms of CCSVI in multiple sclerosis

In the current issue of Veins and Lymphatics, Pietro Bavera publishes an article where he assesses the more frequent symptoms of CCSVI mostly in a multiple sclerosis (MS) population.
He revises almost 400 cases of CCSVI patients who underwent venous PTA with a long follow up of 4 years. His conclusion is that endovascular therapy seems a proper treatment for the more frequent symptoms reported by MS patients. Briefly after the publication the article is now the more popular article of our Journal, with thousands of downloads.
Curiously, today, Professor Juurlink publishes a commentary on the Journal of Neurology and Neurosciences where he strongly claims for non-pharmacological treatments capable to seriously reduce the MS symptoms. Among them, special interest is given to all treatments capable to improve venous outflow from the brain.
Again, cerebral venous return is considered among responsibles of specific brain symptomatology actually orphan of effective pharmacological treatment.
