ISNVD China - a patient's perspective
Interesting work is being done in China. Looking at veins is new, the old dogma was that they did not matter. Thousands of us had good results from just having venous angioplasty. Even though not everyone had improvements, enough of us did, we should have been taken seriously; we were dismissed. As a Canadian, I am sad to say the research done in Canada was some of the worst. As Carol always says, ”science will win in the end, it always does.” For those of us who experienced improved results with venous angioplasty it is no surprised that when veins stay open there is improvement in symptoms. Research, in this area, will continue to grow. I see myself in twenty years telling my great grandchildren, nieces and nephews how hard we had to fight to have the concept of CCSVI accepted. They will not believe me.
