Are you older than 45 yrs? New study released at ACTRIMS asked the question "Can MS Treatments Be Stopped?"

"This is consistent with many randomized controlled trials showing that disease-modifying treatments have diminished impact with greater age," noted John Corboy, MD, of the University of Colorado in Denver, who was not involved with the study.
"It is notable that the most recent demographic study of prevalence in MS in the U.S. shows that 46% of all MS patients are 55 and older, so large numbers of folks are potentially affected by research of this nature," Corboy told MedPage Today."
