Ontario is looking for advice on how best to follow up with Multiple Sclerosis patients who head outside Canada for a controversial treatment. Chronic Cerebro-Spinal Venous Insufficiency procedure (CCSVI) - also known as Liberation Therapy - is championed by a doctor in Italy but not available in Canada. It's attracting people with MS to leave the country in the hopes of improving their condition but there have been concerns that once back home, there's little in the way of follow-up care in place for them. Health Minister Deb Matthews said Tuesday the province wants to close that gap and has struck an expert panel to find the best way to do that. "I'm confident the group's work will ensure that people who make the difficult decision to undergo the CCSVI procedure out of province will receive the best possible care when they return," Matthews said in a release. http://www.torontosun.com/news/torontoandgta/2011/03/01/17450451.html?sms_ss=facebook&at_xt=4d6d21a67c9af81f%2C0
