This is a recovered memory.  And a good story.  And a choice.  Please respond with who got the best end of the deal.

In 1993 Paul McCartney was coming to New Orleans.  I wanted to see him.  Just to see a Beatle.  And wow.  Ground floor of the Superdome.  A couple of friends got four tickets.  Two for them and two for me.  I paid them gladly,  but I did not know who I was going to ask.  I was free of girlfriend.  So who?

My fraternity big brother called with an offer to attend ANY of the NCAA Final Four basketball games I wanted to attend.  I quickly said I wanted to attend the championship game.  I just wanted to go.  The price was not cheap, but it was close to the price of the McCartney tickets.

The trade:  McCartney tickets for Final Four tickets.

McCartney was the "Biker Like an Icon Tour.  Not his greatest, but show was fantastic.  the album was ok, but the Beatles stuff was awesome.

The championship game was the Chris Weber Timeout game.  At the end of the game, Webber ran diagonally directly towards us.  We were screaming about the play where he traveled and called timeout and lost the game.

Final Four tickets or McCartney.

I write this as a gift from CCSVI.  I recall every moment of both nights,  They were wonderful nights.  We saw ESPN personality Dick vitale and told him to tell Jim Valvano, 'Don't give up, don't ever give up.'  Valvano has just told an audience he was dying of cancer and he made a plea to all and his words have become a mantra of my life.

My thought in writing this was a light story.  But remembering the Vitale meeting makes it very real for today.

To all of us suffering with MS, I say Don't Give Up.  Don't Ever Give Up.

CCSVI shows that more ideas can come from places we can not imagine.  Today we are.  Tomorrow we can be more.

Believe in yourself.  Please.  You will get better.

Prayer is wonderful.  And the Good Lord Loves Those Who Help Themselves.

By looking at this website, you are trying to help yourself.  CCSVI may or may not be what we hope it is.  But for me it is a better life.

God Bless All of Us.

Power to the People.  Power  to the cure.
