I enjoy fantasy sports.  I used to enjoy real sports, but MS has put a delay in those pleasures.

What is fantasy sports?  It is a numbers based game that allow the player to "own" players in various sports.  Statics are earned and you play against other players.

Why do I bring this subject to you?

I am a big believer in keeping our minds working.  Reading is great, computers can be more interactive, and I am just trying to bring things to a higher level.

I have loved watching sports most of my life.  I have also paid attention to the details of various player performance abilities.  Finding an outlet for my passions has been very nice.

The most important reality of my "hobby" continual engagement of my brain. I am daily updating my team's players and other aspects to try to win my leagues.  I have six baseball teams playing and I enjoy watching the results.  If the season ended today, I would be in the playoffs in every league, a personal best.

And my brain thinks.  The tumblers of my brain look for opportunities to get my team better and upgrade.  I listen to mp3 shows.

Data.  Data.  Data.

The more engaged my brain remains, the sharpers my brain will be.

If I sit down, watch tv and play solitaire all day, my brain will become weaker.

So today I have this brain oriented "hobby".  I call fantasy sports a "hobby" because my wife thinks that it is a waster of time.  And she is correct.  So what.

I do not garden.  I used to mow the lawn.  I enjoy watching tv.

But this "hobby" really helps because it does keep my brain engaged.

And keeping the brain active and sharp fights negatives of MS.

Keep thinking. Keep praying and keep working towards getting better and a cure.

God Bless Everyone.

And Happy Father's Day.
