University of Saskatchewan Investigation into venous insufficiency in multiple sclerosis
We are investigating the proposed link between multiple sclerosis and narrowed veins in the neck by examining these veins in: ? people with clinically diagnosed MS, ? siblings of those with MS, and ? people without MS who are not related to anyone with MS.
MS Research Study - People with MS and without MS Required
What is involved? ? An initial interview and physical examination at the Saskatoon MS Clinic (1-2 hours) ? An ultrasound appointment at Royal University Hospital or St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon (2 hours) ? An MRI appointment at Royal University Hospital or St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon or Regina General Hospital (2 hours) ? A catheter venography appointment at Royal University Hospital or Regina General Hospital (4 hours)
Your travel and parking expenses will be reimbursed. This study has been approved by the University of Saskatchewan Biomedical Research Ethics Board (#10-108).
There are no direct benefits to participating in this study. This study involves no treatment. Participation is voluntary.
