After a long night,  Jenny my night nurse, who heard me every time I got up to go to the bathroom and was there every time to help me was going home. Her shift was over and we said our good byes. I woke my husband and told him to get up and start the packing. He packed up our things and said he was jumping into the shower. Soon after Bebe was in and said that we should change my bandages one last time. The scar didn't look that bad, just really sore still. Our last breakfast had arrived. It was a bitter sweet meal. No more delicious made to order food. Soon Paulina had stopped in and told us our van was on the way. The paper work, all of my test results and a disc of my CAT scan for my family Dr. was given to me along with my meds to take home. Paulina and Mellisa saw us to the van. A round of heart felt hugs and best wishes from both ladies and we were off. I had taken one of my morphine pills so that I could have a pain free trip to the airport and flight home.  Sergio told us that getting across the border to the U.S may take some time, up to several hours maybe. The medical line that you can use was long but our wait was only about one hour, that's a good time in the scheme of things. Sergio dropped us off at the airport in plenty of time to check in for our flight. At the time something was happening I wish I had known ahead of time.  I just missed Jan. She had just got off the plane that I was getting on to go home. I would have loved to meet her and say hi in person. She was on her way back to see Dr. H. He is desparately trying to help her. My prayers are with her. If not for her and Deirdre telling me of this amazing place, and being brave pioneers, I never would have started my life changing journey.

P.S.  Although my journey is over at the hospital, it will continue at home as I heal and get stronger. I will be keeping in contact with Tina and the hospital on my progress for at least one year. My first call from Tina will be Tuesday.  I will continue to post my blog here so you all can keep up with my progress too
