Venöse Multiple Sklerose, CVI & SVI, CCSVI
5 Long Years since Zamboni theory on W5 Just remembering that on Nov. 21, 2014, it will have been 5 long years since W5 aired the show about Dr. Zamboni's hypothesis of CCSVI and the connection to Multiple Sclerosis. People labeled with a diagnosis of MS can't even be tested for Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI) in Canada. Venous angioplasty is still not allowed for people labeled with Multiple Sclerosis in Canada, although the same treatment is allowed for others. I received venous angioplasty in the U.S. on March 17, 2011. Several symptoms, most noticeably my walking ability, improved dramatically. We included a little bit of footage of me catching a ball--something I could not do for over 15 years before angioplasty and something I never thought to mention in any of my previous before/after videos. I'll never be in the World Series, but I'm looking forward to playing "catch" with my new great-nephew!
