via CCSVI at UBC MS Clinic --CCSVI, MS, and fMRI—
The Hubbard Foundation is researching the use of fMRI as it relates to CCSVI and MS. The following graph illustrates preliminary data linking delayed blood flow in the jugular veins to delayed blood flow within the brain itself, pre and post angioplasty on a single subject. In comparing Pre CCSVI treatment to Post CCSVI treatment, notice how only half the blood comes into the brain, and it takes twice as long to leave. http://www.facebook.com/CCSVI.BC
*Note: BOLD response refers to Blood Oxygenated Level Dependent, a term used in fMRI research that refers to blood quantity.
This data was collected by the Hubbard Foundation at the Applied fMRI Institute. There is more information on this technology at the AFI website.
