Monday, April 4, 2011 3:46 PM | CCSVI in MS Toronto Volg link

I would like to share my story with all of you as I think maybe it could help with the CCSVI fight. I live in Northern Ontario and have been fighting MS for 22 years. I am almost 50 and last summer summer I started to progress really fast and was feeling worse everyday. I tried all of the MS injections but could not take any of them as they all made me feel worse. In August I fell and scraped my knee, no big deal. By the 3rd week of august it looked infected so I went to my GP and he did a swab. Results would not be back for a few days so he gave me an antibiotic cream.

The next morning I had my daughter call 911 and tell them that her Mom was going into shock. By 10:00 that night I was in a coma and was flown down to Toronto. I had Strep A, septic shock. All of my major organs failed. I was in a coma for 3 weeks and miraculously woke up. The amazing thing is that I no longer had any MS symtoms and I still don't.

While in a coma I has 4 blood tranfusions and then I had another one when I was awake. While I was asleep they also cleaned my left jugular and other veins for kidney dialysis. After I woke up they cleaned my right side for a new line and I actually heard them say that they ran into a stenosis and that they would have to wait until the next day when the lead radiologist was in.

Antway, it is now 4 months later and I still have no MS symptoms at all. I feel as though I woke up from my coma as a new person.

The great thing about this whole thing is that it was all covered by our hospital plan as the proceedures were done for another illness not MS
