Here is a letter I just emailed to my local paper. maybe I can get someone to listen and help.

I am a single mother. Two boys 12 & 20. I have Relapsing Remitting
Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). There is a new treatment for it called

CCSVI. I work full time but my company does not offer health

insurance. I am currently off of work on medical leave as the MS has

reared it's ugly head yet again. I have applied for medicaid turned

down and have reapplied. Phone interview on 10/26.

I am below the federal poverty line. My son gets free lunch at school because my income is so low.

I
have a chance at a new life if I can obtain this treatment. But our

government has my hands tied. I want a chance at a new life so that I

can remain a functioning part of society.

I could quit my job, go on welfare and force the state to pay for
my care. If I were to commit a felony, (not that I would), then they

would lock me up in jail and have to pay for my care. My shots which I

do not take anymore cost $2,062 a month. I make approximately $1,240 a

month.

My 20 year old goes to college full time. He works part time at the
college in their computer lab. He also does all of the household

chores, cooks, cleans, does dishes and laundry as I am not able to do

these tasks anymore.

I do not know what you can do for me. But I want my story heard.
Maybe then people would make better choices when they vote for our

elected officials.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for any help you can give me. I am at the end of my rope.
