Thanks to all of you who were "virtual" guests at our CCSVI Alliance Fundraiser yesterday! We appreciate all of the donations and well wishes. Pictures and videos will follow....today is clean up :) Jeff and I welcomed 120 guests into our home; we ate and drank delicious Italian food, wine, and sparkling sodas. Jeff and I performed an
Italian baroque duet--all in honor of Dr. Zamboni and his Italian team
of researchers. My girlfriends did gorgeous floral arrangements,
including many golden leaves, referring to the CCSVI Alliance leaf. The
wine glass charms were leaves. There was live jazz, wonderful
conversation and a 20 minute keynote presentation on CCSVI Alliance.
A friend of ours who has been treated in Poland and needed retreatment
was present to discuss the importance of good follow-up care and staying
local. We had a question and answer session that went on for a half
hour. The room was excited and energized and many came up to us afterward with ideas for fundraising, public relations, documentary films, connections in the medical field and how to spread
the word. There were invitations from friends to come into their homes
and do the presentation for their community. We believe it will be this type of personal connection that will continue to create the grass roots movement in CCSVI research. If you are interested in
hosting a similar type of function in your home, please contact us at
joan.beal@ccsvi.org for party ideas. CCSVI Alliance will provide
printed material, including brochures and donation cards. But it will
be your own creativity, personal story and outreach into your community
that will generate the "buzz" and help us in opening veins and minds- Thanks again for all of the support-- Jeff and Joan Beal
