Stephen Duckett, head of Alberta’s health board, loses job

n uproar over a cookie has cost the head of Alberta's health board his job, amid a growing health crisis in the province.

Stephen Duckett will no longer serve as president and chief executive officer of Alberta Health Services, the board announced Wednesday. It was a
joint decision that came five days after Dr. Duckett avoided TV cameras during

a crucial meeting by insisting he was busy eating a cookie. Premier Ed Stelmach

called the snub “offensive” to all Albertans.
