I had an ultrasound last May that showed I had 50% blockage in my left jugular. The MD who performed my ultrasound was "shut down" (just a couple of wks later) from performing any further studies related to CCSVI since it was "experimental", so I've not gone any further in exploring treatment. I know the next step is having a venogram, but I'm allergic to CT and IVP contrast (anaphylaxis) and just realized that venograms probably use the same sort of contrast. I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is indeed the case, and if so, would this prevent me from having treatment? Kathy
