MP Judy Foote wants Ottawa to pay for the Liberation Treatment for multiple sclerosis patients. Foote says that through petitions, questions in the House of Assembly and meetings with the minister
responsible, she has been trying to impress the seriousness of the
issue. She says the Zamboni Procedure is an avenue that gives MS
patients a better life.
She says she has asked the federal government to both provide the
Lliberation Treatment throughout the country and to do more in the way
of research, but they do not see fit to do so.
Foote says some provinces have shown leadership with respect to the
treatment, and so should Ottawa. She questions why the country seems to
impede treatment and research when the provinces are recognizing the
importance of the procedure and MS patients are voicing how invaluable
it is. Foote says the public has to keep the pressure on. http://www.vocm.com/newsarticle.asp?mn=2&id=11412&latest=1
