Dear Ms. Leona Aglukkaq and members of parliament,
I hope you enjoyed your holidays. It is now time to get back to work.
Let us get those whom are suffering from venous obstructions treatment.
It is now a New Year therefore will the Canadian government step up and
do what is right and allow those whom have been given the label MS to be
granted treatment for CCSVI. Ms. Leona Aglukkaq, why are you not
allowing MS sufferers the right to proper blood drainage from their
brains? I am at a loss for words at how treating CCSVI is still an issue
in Canada.
Why is Health Canada putting people who suffer from toxins building up in their brains due to restricted blood
flow in the hands of neurologists? Treating those whom suffer from this
venous abnormality is the only moral thing to do.
Doctors have taken oaths to give patients the best care that they can provide; it is
just too bad that our Health Minister is not allowing doctors to perform
this simple life altering procedure. If treating this venous
obstruction happens to relive MS symptoms that is great.
The whole issue of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, neurologists and the
CIHR making recommendations on how to test and treat a venous issue is
wrong. Interventional radiologists need to be given the reins in the
testing and treating of CCSVI and what actions should be taken.
Neurologist should only be involved in studying those whom have been
treated.
Start the New Year off right by allowing interventional radiologists to perform this simple non-invasive
veoplasty procedure to correct blood flow. Start the New Year off right
by removing any neurologist from the study of CCSVI as they are not
educated in the venous system. Start the New Year off right by not
taking direction from the MSS as they do not fundraise for venous
abnormality’s they raise funds for MS!
Here is an update on how my wife is doing after restored blood drainage from her brain.
Jenny had her procedure for a venous obstruction 110 days ago and she is
doing great. She started using a treadmill 30 days after her procedure;
Jenny could only stay on for a minute. Jenny now stays on the treadmill
for 30 minutes and has started to increase the speed. My wife has not
fallen once since the procedure, this used to be just about a daily
occurrence. Jenny uses her walker more then the powerchair now. Best of
all I have the love of my life back and a son has his mom.
Please grant all Canadians that are suffering due to improper blood flow the right to have a simple venoplasty procedure.
Sincerely, Lorin Powell
