I used to take Tysabri.  I had monthly infusions for 18 months.  Neuro and I were going to cycle off at 24 months.  The infusion doctor and I agreed that the medicine had become ineffective.

Yahoo reports 6 new cases of PML have occured in Tysabri patients.  The link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110121/hl_nm/us_biogen_pml_1  When will this product be pulled from the US market?  I wish I knew a good personal injury attorney.  Feels like a goldmine for people who got Tysabri if they got PML or no infection.

As one door closes, another opens.  The first time I visited this website I found a good news.  A hospital within driving range of my house planned to do a CCSVI study.

After an initial contact that told me the study was at least 6 months away, I persisted.  The best arguement for myself came from a reality that I was off everything except steroids.  I reminded the surgeon's team that I presented a perfect canidate.  After several more calls, I got scheduled.  And I am better post CCSVI.

I know this sounds like thanking Glock for educating me about Gun Control after someone shot up my car with me inside.   Hobbled away from the medicine alive, uninfected, and looking for other solutions.

Let us invite our Tysabri brothers and sisters to join us in CCSVI.  Trade you a few hours of surgery for the opportunity to get several different levels of improvement.

Brothers and Sisters, come with me and look at a new brave place.  Tysabri offers a real risk that is above the safe level.  More have died from PML via Tysabri than CCSVI.  Most who have had CCSVI are IMPROVED.

So, I invite you to put down the IV needles, and come to a new place.  You are brave to have been on Tysabri with the risks.  Come to a new place of hope and promise.

You may not get better.  But we hope pray to take the chance.   Life may be a risk, but I will go down trying to get better rather than face a potentially leathal infection.
