I wanted to post some more information for those of you travelling soon to see the amazing Doctors down in Newport Beach, CA at Pacific Interventionalists.

First for those of you who are flying into Los Angeles LAX Airport you have a few options to get to Newport/Costa Mesa area wherever you book your hotel at. The cost to take a Taxi is around $110 down there, or you can hop a Shuttle that are outside of the terminal which only ended up costing 4 of us $65 in total. There was a sign that said "Shuttles" and a company with a bright blue colored van and one with a red van that we asked prices for. Sorry I don't remember the names of the shuttles but you can't miss them parked beside one another when you walk out of terminal they are right there. No need to book before hand as they have many vans to accomadate this service.

If you decide to fly into the airport that is closer it is the Santa Ana SNA Orange County John Wayne Airport and the Ayres Hotel shuttle can pick you up there or a taxi is only $13 to get to Ayres Hotel.

I felt the price was too expensive for me to book through GTE services and Marvin and not really necessary that added expense.

I stayed at the Ayres Hotel that you get a discount at for being a patient with Pacific Interventionalists. There is a free Hotel shuttle there that will take you anywhere you want to go within the 8 mile radius and the place where your consults are with Doctors and to have procedure done are included in this range of the hotel shuttle. There is also a breakfast buffet every morning free with your stay with them at Ayres hotel and it was very good and fresh every morning we went to eat there. To book at Ayres Hotel call 1 800 322 9992 or 714 429 9372 and let them know you are a patient with Pacific Interventionalists to get the discounted rate. www.ayrescostamesa.com

I found we didn't need a rental car because any restuarant, mall, doctors appointment etc we wanted to go to was all in range of the Ayres Hotel Shuttle services.

I was very impressed with Dr Arata, Dr Hewett and their whole staff at Pacific Interventionalists as they are all very knowledgable on vascular procedures.  They are both Vascular Interventional Radiologists but also Phelbologists(Vein Sciences) and that is exactly what CCSVI is. I needed the procedure done again(Round 2) as I had the first one abroad 6 months ago and they made me feel very welcomed there and answered all the questions I had and never once did I feel rushed. Trust me when I say I had ALOT of questions for Dr Arata and he patiently answered them all. I knew something was not right with me as I had a few symptoms return and I am so glad I trusted my gut insticts and saw them here because I needed to be looked at and treated again. I also left with all the medical proof of my restenose and what they did to my valves.

I feel very comfortable recommending this place to my MS friends for their Intial or follow up procedures for their CCSVI Testing and Treatment. You are in VERY good hands going to see them all here in Newport Beach, California.

If anyone out there has any other questions about going here. I am more than happy to answer them if I can:-)

Regards,

Michelle Walsh
