It was December 16, 2008 and a group of the regular posters on This Is MS started discussing the recently published research of Italian vascular doctor Paolo Zamboni. For me, it was locating the missing puzzle piece in the vascular connection to MS- a piece I had been looking for after noticing my husband's circulatory and blood issues. For others, it was research that confirmed their sense that MS could be understood, if we only knew where to look.

Some of us decided to find local vascular doctors that would test us or our loved ones for CCSVI. We didn't really know what we were doing at the time, or how quickly this information would be disseminated around the world.

Take the time to read the 50 plus pages of the thread....there are wonderful discussions, fun comments and you'll get a glimpse of the excitement we all had, discovering together. As Marie has said, it's shorter than a novel- and just as compelling!
