Saturday, September 10, 2011 ~ Victoria, BC     On Saturday, September 10, 2011, the National CCSVI Society (NCS) will host New Discoveries, New Beginnings, a Canadian CCSVI research and education forum and banquet dinner at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney, BC, just minutes away from Victoria airport and BC Ferries.   A Canadian Society formed in 2010, NCS will put Victoria on centre stage with its premiere CCSVI advocacy and education event for the CCSVI, MS, and neurodegenerative disease patient communities and the community at large. Over four hours of medical research and patient education on how CCSVI is emerging as a new vascular disorder linked to many poorly understood diseases will be presented by leading CCSVI researchers, followed by a cocktail hour, banquet dinner, and silent auction. All proceeds will go towards future Society education and research initiatives ~ we are an all volunteer Society.       Presentations will be headed by Dr. Mark Haacke, a leading CCSVI researcher, and will also include Dr. Bill Code, Dr. David Williams, Dr. Joseph Hewett, and Dr. Raj Attariwala. Dr. Haacke will also deliver the keynote address at the banquet, along with an inspired presentation from prominent CCSVI federal advocate and Canadian MP, Dr. Kirsty Duncan.
