Method Zamboni and multiple sclerosis: another confirmation

The Polish magazine Phlebological Review recently published new research by Marian Simka and his team. This study confirms once again previous data that correlates chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiiency (CCSVI) with multiple sclerosis as discovered by Paolo Zamboni, director of Vascular Diseases Center, University of Ferrara.

The Polish researchers treated 94 MS patients (who also had CCSVI) with endovascular procedures.

The patients were followed for a median of 6 months. The research team reports patients had improvements in chronic fatigue, sleep, and symptoms of MS.

These preliminary findings confirm reports in previous studies that endovascular treatment for patients with MS and venous disease results in positive effects. These findings are encouraging and should justify further studies on this subject.
