I was not surprised when the Canadian Medical Association published an anti-CCSVI editorial in their journal (http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/rapidpdf/cmaj.100835v1?ijkey=f67a58ed77e1da08b3120ecc8e955ab3ea76af00&keytype2=tf_ipsecsha) . Notably, the editors who wrote the editorial were incredibly ignorant of the science of CCSVI and most of their comments are either erroneous and at best simplistic. Of course they followed the party line dictated by the neurologists that treatment for CCSVI has to be withheld until the "proper" research is done. The fact it will take at least 8-10 years for the proper research is of no interest or concern to them. It is impossible to underestimate the influence of Big Pharma on health policies and medical journals.
