CCSVI in Multiple Sclerosis
New publication from Buffalo: doppler ultrasound shows more intraluminal (inside the vein) malformations in pwMS than healthy controls. MRV shows more about collateral veins rerouting bloodflow. Used together, they give a good picture of CCSVI--what is interesting in this study was that progressive MS showed more extraluminal (outside the vein) abnormalities than non-progressive MS.
